Design Labs Beta

Help shape Design Labs before it goes public.

TechSavvy Design Labs is a browser-based workspace for cleaning vectors, planning laser-ready layers, and previewing dimensional builds before they hit the machine. We are opening a small beta for makers who want to test it early and tell us what actually helps in the shop.

Built for the messy middle between an idea and a finished cut.

The beta is focused on real workflow problems: imported artwork that needs cleanup, layers that need to make sense, and 3D previews that help you catch mistakes before material is wasted.

01

Vector cleanup

Import SVGs or trace images into editable vector layers, then clean up shapes before preparing the final design.

02

Layer planning

Organize cut, score, and engrave operations while keeping colors, stacking order, and materials understandable.

03

3D inspection

Preview material thickness, layered assemblies, supports, and engrave behavior before moving to your laser software.

Apply for the beta.

This is intentionally not a wide-open launch yet. The goal is to bring in a small group of people who can test, break things, give honest feedback, and help shape what Design Labs becomes.

Good beta testers are people who:

  • Make layered signs, gifts, decor, parts, or prototypes.
  • Use tools like LightBurn, Illustrator, Inkscape, Canva, or Affinity.
  • Have opinions about what is annoying in the current workflow.
  • Are okay with early software improving quickly.

Beta request

Use the same email address you want to sign in with. Approval is manual right now, so submitting this request does not automatically unlock the editor.

Approved accounts sign in through Shopify’s one-time code. Cloud saving is separate and is not enabled by this request.

What happens after you apply?

Access is intentionally gated while the beta is small. That keeps the feedback loop manageable and lets us improve the product without pretending it is finished.

1

Apply

Send your email and a little context about what you make.

2

Review

We approve a small number of testers manually.

3

Use Shopify’s secure one-time code with the same email.

4

Test

Try real artwork and send feedback from the shop floor.
